Laravel Developer

We're looking for an experienced Laravel developer to join our team. Our systems rely heavily on Laravel as our primary backend framework and we're looking for someone who is passionate about the framework, its ecosystem and loves working on complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

About Us

Finotive is building the ultimate ecosystem for the modern retail trader. We combine fintech, brokerage, and investment solutions to deliver exceptional trading experiences and help our customers achieve their goals.

Our platform is designed from the ground up, with every product built in-house to ensure complete control over the trader's journey. From funded accounts to brokerage services, global payroll, and trading algorithms, our all-in-one solution supports traders at every stage—from beginners to professionals.

Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced Laravel Developer who is genuinely passionate about the Laravel ecosystem and enjoys tackling complex, meaningful projects. You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Deeply understand Laravel, always stay up-to-date, and follow best practices.
  • Take ownership of your projects from initial requirements through to deployment.
  • Value reliability, efficiency, and maintain strong coding standards.

What You'll Do

To give you an idea of the type of projects you'll be involved with, here's what we've accomplished in the last few months:

  • Rewrote our event-sourced trading platform monitoring system for real-time checks across all user accounts.
  • Completely rebuilt our affiliate portal with Livewire, Flux, and Tailwind v4 for enhanced user experience.
  • Completely rebuilt our application dashboard with Livewire and optimized it for performance and usability.
  • Implemented detailed trading analytics for over 50,000 users.
  • Upgraded our core systems to the latest Laravel version.
  • Implemented compliance processes automation

And we have several exciting initiatives ahead, including:

  • Expanding our Livewire-powered dashboard with advanced analytics, interactive charts, and enhanced functionality to provide deeper insights for our users.
  • Refactoring our monitoring systems to be trading platform agnostic, ensuring a architecture that supports multiple platforms while maintaining high code quality, reliability and performance.
  • Building a new architecture to enable seamless communication and data sharing between multiple applications in our ecosystem.
  • Launching new services and innovative products that will redefine the trading experience, with big plans to continue growing and evolving our platform.

How We Work

  • Daily Progress & Frequent Deployments: We avoid long development cycles and isolated work by continuly integrating our work, using feature flags and other techniques to ensure smooth and regular updates.
  • Collaborative Environment: Questions are encouraged, and we actively learn from one another. Given the complexity of our projects, it's important to continuously expand your understanding.
  • Quality & Testing Focus: Every feature includes automated tests (Pest) and thorough manual testing in real-world scenarios, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
  • Occasional Frontend Tasks: While the role is primarily backend-focused, occasionally you might need to pick up Chart.js or build a simple dashboard UI based on Figma.
  • Curiosity & Advanced Technologies: We value curiosity and willingness to learn. You’ll work with advanced architectures like event sourcing, which we use extensively or learn about the inner workings of a trading platform.
  • Lean Team Structure: You’ll join a focused team of three, collaborating directly with our CTO and CEO ensuring clear communication and rapid feedback. We don’t hold daily stand-ups or mandatory meetings, but we expect consistent progress, proactive communication, and strong accountability.

What We Offer

This is a fully remote contractor position, designed to offer the stability of a full-time role. While traditional employment benefits like healthcare or pension are not included, the compensation is competitive and allows for flexibility in how you manage your resources.

We work primarily during standard European business hours to maintain clear and effective communication across the team. You'll be equipped with top-tier tools and a personalized setup to ensure you have everything you need to succeed in your role and make an impact.

How to Apply

We are looking for candidates who take pride in their experience and expertise. To apply, please submit the following:

  • Cover Letter: Write a detailed, authentic cover letter—written by you personally, without the use of AI tools—explaining why you are the right fit for this position and how your experience aligns with the requirements outlined above.
